[ He grins, making a beeline for the bar when it comes into view. ]
But yes, I do. A lot of us were invited to go study with another Sect that's extremely strict, so much so that their disciples aren't allowed to drink alcohol. So naturally, I snuck some in while I was there.
While I do think she's amazing, I don't think anyone should have the misfortune of meeting her. [ There's a pause as he looks WWX over ] You have a face she'd like a bit too much.
[ There's the bar with it's collection of drinkware. He'll give a wave to the robocats. Gotta be polite to them because you never know when they will rise up to kill everyone]
I don't think I could survive in a place like that. Did you get caught?
[ He laughs lightly, settling in on one of the barstools. ]
Of course I got caught. I got punished too, but not for the drinking. I dragged one of their brightest pupils outside of the boundaries after curfew. [ He shakes his head. ] It's not my fault they've got so many rules.
Sounds like a boring life they lead. Think they have that many because people kept finding loopholes? [ How fun would it be to find ways to toe those lines ] How bad was the punishment?
Beautiful, but a bit too far from people for my liking. It's on top of a mountain range away from normal people. I'm a bit envious of you for that. [ He wants to be where the people are ] The Spirit Blade Sect is one of the top five Sects out there. What about yours? Was it impressive?
It takes a lot of courage to do something like that. [ Even if he doesn't agree with his Sect kicking him out cause hello? ] What was the other Sect doing?
They had remnants of a Sect that tried to take over everyone else working at an outpost. These remnants had nothing to do with the war as they were all sick or elderly, so working them to death served no purpose other than cruelty.
[ He sighs. ]
I didn't go about this in the best way, I'll admit. I killed cultivators from that Sect.
[ There's more to it because there always is with these sorts of things, but he thinks Wang Lu will at least understand part of the reason why he was kicked out. ]
I may be missing something, but a large Sect that bullies the innocent deserves to be punished. It's so easy for those in power to take advantage. [ Shaking his head. He's seen it as well ]
I don't know if I would have gone about it in a better way. [ One never knows when they are in that situation how they would handle it ] Was your Sect worried about saving face then? [ That seems... messed up. ]
That would make it difficult for your Sect. [ This feels like there could be a misstep if he pushes, so he'll shift the topic. ] Did you become a patriarch after that? [ His username has been the most curious thing since boy you're so young ]
like a daisy
[ Thinking about it ]
Were? I still get in trouble. My Master's motto is to bend the rules whenever possible.

[ Is Yiling Daddy easy to boss around? He'll snag a couple of the leis being used as decor before settling down next to him. ]
At least you got away with that. [ Take a win where you can. ] They didn't even stick up to you? How many rules do they even have?
no subject
[ He might be (mostly) easygoing, but he doesn't take well to getting pushed around either, not unless it's in some sort of push-and-pull dance. ]
Nope! They have three thousand rules, all written down on this rock wall just outside the entrance to the Cloud Recesses.
no subject
[ It could be interesting to see ]
Three thousand? [ Hello? ] How do they even memorize it all?
no subject
[ That's Wei Wuxian's theory, and honestly, he thinks it holds up. ]

I could barely walk afterwards! After a certain point, it’s just too strict. [ He glances at Wang Lu. ] Tell me a bit more about your Sect.
no subject
Bet that left a mark. Just for stepping out at night?
[ Wow. He can't really get over how strict it is, but his own Sect might be something of an outlier ] Well, we don't have three thousand rules.
no subject
I’d hope not. But what was it like? My own Sect was near a beautiful lake and lots of people going about their business every day.
[ He misses it, truthfully, but that doesn’t matter anymore. ]
weh lotus pier
:crymeow:
[ On top of a mountain without three thousand rules? Sign him up! ]
The Yunmeng Jiang Sect was also one of the top five, actually. Are you one of the top disciples of yours?
touches the ground remembering jc gave himself up
[ Giving a wink. He's sure there's a rule against it, but he can figure a loophole ]
I am. Went from Sect Mascot to one the best. [ r u impressed ] Let me guess...you're one of the top ones as well?
i am ALWAYS thinking about this
Ah, good work! [ Wei Wuxian grins. ] That’s right! I was the top disciple before leaving.
the brothers are so dumb for each other just weh
Did you leave for creative differences? [ Or you know... cultivation differences ]
they areeeeee aaaaaaa
Essentially, yes. I took a stand against one of the other big Sects, so it was for the best for my own Sect that I be kicked out.
lays here

To put it simply, yes. My Sect was being rebuilt from the ground up. My actions only made it harder for them to continue on, so I decided to leave.
[ There's clearly a whole lot more to it, but he can't just go around telling his life story to everyone... not yet. ]
you can drop this if you would like sorry so late
That would make it difficult for your Sect. [ This feels like there could be a misstep if he pushes, so he'll shift the topic. ] Did you become a patriarch after that? [ His username has been the most curious thing since boy you're so young ]
slam dunks a tag back to you
I did. I’ve had six children since I’ve left my Sect.
[ Said very, very seriously. ]

For a perfect and refined example of a man, you've certainly been busy. How do you manage to feed all of those mouths?
