Actually... no one ever realized she wasn't me. Not Eros, and not my parents. I guess it wasn't very surprising. But I really admire how deeply Helio loves her. I thought I'd watched Medea closely enough to know her so well, but there's really no comparison.

I guess there are some things you can't know without being told. That's just... what it means to be separate people. But I think seeing the way Helio treated me as Medea was the first time I really understood what love was. That he couldn't bear hurting me no matter how angry he was, because it was Medea's body. Even though he knew it was me. That he knew her, in a way no one else did.

[ He smiles, squeezing her hand back. ]

Seeing that care… it can change you. [ A thoughtful look passes over his face. ] Acceptance too. I don’t think there can be love without it. Approving of the actions of your loved one isn’t necessary, but trying to understand and accept it… I think your ability to do that for me made me realize how good it feels to have someone like that.

[ She squeezes his hand, and then just goes to fling her arms around his waist and press herself close. ]

Maybe there are times when you have to argue, because you love someone. But I hope you'll never doubt that I'll always hear you out. I always want to understand. I'm... so happy if I can be that for you. You're a kind man, Wei Wuxian.

[ She’s so good to him even though he doesn’t deserve it for all that he’s done back home, and yet… he’ll allow himself to have this. ]

[ She knows what he means. And she knows what she's seen. The vision of it remains when she closes her eyes. But, still... she understands enough to believe that she's still right.

She rubs her cheek against his chest and lets out a quiet sigh. ]

[ He holds her tighter, doing his best not to squeeze too tightly. Can't do that when she's not feeling well, after all. ]

[ No, he still could. That might be the best idea, actually. She tips her head up enough to smile at him. ]

Actually... I'm sure that you do. I think you know me better than you might think, actually.

[ She knows she's weak to what she wants to hear. But she still squeezes him a little tighter for that. ]

Maybe it's a little absurd when it really hasn't been that long. But it still makes me happy to hear it.

Hm, I suppose it hasn't, but we have spent a good deal of time with one another.

[ Not to mention, for Wei Wuxian, it's much easier to open up without the weight of Sect politics over him. He thinks it might be similar for Psyche. ]
